Regular Jeep® service is the best way to maintain your vehicle and keep it healthy for years to come. When you visit Fields Chrysler Jeep Dodge RAM, we'll help you figure out what your car needs and when you need to get it.
Oil Changes
You probably know how vital oil changes are for keeping your Jeep vehicle in great health. Clean oil keeps your engine parts well-lubricated and prevents dirt from getting inside.
Over time, however, oil thickens and needs to be changed every 5,000 to 10,000 miles. No matter what kind of mileage you’re racking up, it is still important to have your oil changed every six months or so.
Tire Rotations
The treads on your tires may all look similar, but if you give them a very close inspection, you’ll probably notice some differences.
Tire treads don’t all wear down the same way. Having them rotated regularly can prolong their lifespan and optimize their performance. As with oil changes, the recommendation is to have your tires rotated every six months or so.
Brake and Battery Checks
Your brakes put in a lot of work every time you drive, especially if you regularly take your Jeep off-road. Because brake shoes and pads wear down, your brake system should be looked at every year.
The same is true for your battery; it’s always good to know what kind of charge it has left. Batteries don’t typically last that long – usually between three and five years – so be sure to have yours checked annually.
