We know that different drivers have different priorities when they're shopping for a new truck here at Fields Chrysler Jeep® Dodge RAM Asheville. That's why models like the 2019 RAM 1500 offer so many options, from basic work trucks to luxurious 4x4 models. There's even the RAM 1500 Classic, a holdover from the last generation that's perfect for anyone who wants a reliable truck at the right price. Now it looks like that capable vehicle might get some upgrades of its own.

The RAM 1500 Classic is basically the last-generation version of the 2019 RAM 1500. It didn't get some of the styling updates found on the current model, and it starts at the lower price of $29,340. That's inexpensive for a dependable work truck, and drivers have noticed. The 2019 RAM 1500 boasts some technology upgrades and better towing capabilities as well, but the RAM 1500 Classic is still drawing attention. What was once thought to be a niche product may have some wider appeal after all.

The RAM 1500 Classic offers two power options: a 3.6-liter Pentastar® V6 and a 5.7-liter HEMI® V8. This new RAM truck continues to sell well and boost FCA US LLC's share of the lucrative pickup truck market. It also could serve as a great stepping stone to the RAM 1500 for some drivers.

Some updates for the next few model years could help this less-expensive truck keep selling. While we don't expect to see huge updates for what is essentially the last-generation model, we wouldn't be surprised to see new features and trim levels added. In any case, it just goes to show you that our Asheville, NC RAM dealership will always be the place to go for a pickup truck, no matter what you're looking for!
